Hailing from the beautiful town of Sandeid in the western part of Norway, Maria Toresen moved to Stavanger to pursue her passion for music. In the recent years she has been playing Norwegian festivals, showcases and supports for artist like Ida Jenshus, Moddi and Erlend Ropstad.
Her single “The Mountain” was listed on Radio 102 as well as doing turns on the Norwegian radio channel NRK P13.
Her critically acclaimed debut album, ‘Birds Don’t Tell’ received reviews comparing her to Susanne Sundfør (HA, 19.11.2015)
Driven by the Norwegian nature and the love for her family, Maria delivers a pop-like atmosphere where mesmerizing vocals and classic harmonies compel you to take a part in her most intimate thoughts.
